Venuvian Concept Stool

Displayed at the RECKONstruct pop-up exhibition at the 2019 Milan Triennale, Humanscale (New York City, NY) recruited several members of the design team to participate in a showcase of various sustainability techniques.

For this project, I developed a biomimetic concept inspired by the Venus Sea Sponge and its incredibly high weight-to-strength silica-based skeleton. This 3D-printed design would reduce waste and create a strong structure out of a minimum of material.
