OneWorld Explorer

Louis Nelson Associates (NYC, NY) and One World Explorer Productions (NYC, NY) enlisted Tanaka Kapec Design Group for design engineering services on an immersive handheld experience for the Observatory Deck of the new WTC tower in Manhattan.

The resulting design features a two-piece polycarbonate housing that protects an iPad and captures the spirit of the new tower’s architecture with a brushed aluminum cosmetic panel. This experience is powered by an AR application developed by Haneke Design (Tampa, FL).
