AON3D, Hylo

When AON3D (Montreal, QC) embarked on the design of their new flagship 3D printer, their goal was to create an open material system for manufacturers and engineering firms needing to produce functional parts from the world’s most advanced polymers.

The result was Hylo™ — a precision-built workhouse of additive manufacturing made in North America. Equipped with a network of sensors and AI-driven software, Hylo™ delivers reliable and repeatable performance under stringent tolerances.

I was tasked with the industrial design of Hylo™ and to align it with the ambitious goal of creating a cutting-edge machine that meets expert demands while remaining accessible to users of all skill levels. The design emphasized ergonomics and ease of use, with a straightforward visual aesthetic that established a clear, professional brand language.
